Ogidi, which means “Pillar” is an Igbo town in Anambra State, Nigeria. It is the headquarters of Idemili North Local Government Area. It has an estimated population of 70,000 (2005 Data). Her neighbors are Abatete, Nkpor, Umunachi, Eziowelle, Umuoji, Oze, Ogbunike and Umudioka. The predominant religion among her people is Christianity, with the fading Odinani Ancestral religion a distant minority
To provide a forum/national body for interaction of Ogidi people in the US and Canada
To foster unity, cooperation and good citizenry among members in the US and Canada
To promote, protect and advance Ogidi culture among all Ogidi people in the US and Canada

To promote educational, cultural and social excellence among Ogidi children

To create a channel for providing support to Ogidi people in the US and Canada

To promote awareness of current events among Ogidi people both in the US and Canada, as well as in the homeland

To provide a channel for meaningful input into Ogidi affairs as well as for initiating and fostering community development projects in Ogidi

To cooperate with individual organizations for the wellbeing of the Ogidi people
